How soon after your temperature drops are you supposed to get your period usually? Also, for those of you whose boobs get sore right before your period, do they typically get sore a few days after your temperature drops or before? My temperature dropped only slightly today and I'm on day 28 of my cycle (typical is between 28-30; last month it was 34). I haven't had any symptoms yet, but I know it's still too early to tell.

It's hard to really tell you without looking at your chart---is your temp falling below coverline? If it's just dropping, that doesn't necessarily mean that AF is on her way.

I used to get sore boobs waaay before AF would come...just from the hormonal surge, I think.

If you look at my overlay/charts you'll see a distinct pattern before AF shows up over the last three mornings. AF is due tomorrow based on my 14 day LP. Not everybody notices that kind of a pattern though. I didn't go below coverline last cycle until after AF was gone, but that can vary from cycle to cycle. I hope this helps somehow. Good luck!

Usually AF arrives within a day or two of a drop in temp (below the coverline), but it's more accurate to go by your Luteal Phase length. Your LP should be fairly consistent from cycle to cycle, you can usually know when AF is due with a little more certainty based on that. It doesn't matter how long or short the cycle is overall, the LP should remain consistent so that once you've confirmed ovulation you know it will X number of days until AF is due.
