Is fertilityfriend the only one? Or is there another site you recommend? I am about to start charting and getting the hang of things (never charted before) and want to start off right.

Anymore pointers for the newbie?

Thanks ladies!

Ways to learn to chart from easiest to hardest:

1. Take a charting class in person, online, or by correspondence so that a teacher can walk you through it step by step.
2. Read a book on charting (Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, The Billings Method by Dr. Lyn Billings and Dr. Ann Westmore)
3. Take the little course on fertilityfriend.com, it will give you the basics you need to know for TTC.
4. Just start charting and learn as you go

Other good charting websites include:
www.ovusoft.com
www.nfpcharting.com (only compatible with the Billings or Creighton systems of charting)

There are lots of others, but many of them just make calculations about when you'll be fertile using average cycle length. This is inaccurate and doesn't account for early or late ovulation. Steer clear of the ones that "predict" when you will ovulate!

I use Fertility Friend, but there is so much out there. Shawna is a charting genius.

I ditto Shauna. My personal favorite is TCOYF, I only use FF so I can have a ticker, lol.

I used FF when I was charting, but they're all wonderful. TCOYF is very comprehensive.

Good luck!!!!

Im using FF.. I like it.. My 4th month TTC, 1st month Charting, I got my bfp.. (I unfortunately lost him at 10 weeks) Im now temping again jus to see what my body is doing and to watch out for sings of AF, I was told to wait for my first real af, and then I could try the next cycle after that..

I am so sorry about your loss. I have had 2 miscarriages and am so worried about that. We have set a ttc date and i am so excited, but so worried. Thank God i have my little girl. With her I know I can survive another miscarriage if that is in my future..but I hope not. I wouldnt wish that on anyone.

One question. I am guessing that I would need my first AF to start charting and all? I am 4 months PP and still no sign of her.

Nope. A good charting course will cover how to do post partum charting before you get AF back. It's possible to have your first PP ovulation before your first PP AF. I'm 3 months PP with no AF yet and I've been charting for 2 months already to TTA according to the Billings Ovulation Method guidelines.

It's not the only one, there are lots of different charting systems you can use post partum. I just prefer it because it doesn't require temps, which is nice since my sleeping is erratic anyway due to breastfeeding during the night. The list of different charting options is here: http://www.justmommies.com/boards/in...owtopic=495071
