New to Charting

Hi everyone! I'm new to charting, but some of you may know me from the other boards. I'm Jessica (40), DH is Paul (37) and we are TTC#1. We've been ttc since January after being on BCP for 3 years. If anybody has any suggestions or comments they'd all be appreciated. Thanks!

Well my best advice is set an alarm and if you tend to wake up at different times set it way early. I was having an issue so I set the alarm for an hour before I usually wake up, so my temp is taken at the same time each day. then i just go back to sleep, LOl my thermometer saves the temp for me.

Welcome to the board Jessica! I suggest reading the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It's an amazing and very informative read and will help you understand charting even more.

Thanks girls. It's hard for me to set my alarm on the weekends because once it goes off the dog is ready for his day to be started, and I'm not. However, he is also considered my alarm....he pretty much wakes me up around the same time every morning anyway. So, if you look at my chart, I get a circle instead of a dot on the weekends (not that I've been charting long, LOL) because I've been about 45 minutes off.

As for reading a fertility book, I've got Your Fertility Signals by Merryl Winstein and have read that pretty much cover to cover a couple of times and constantly look at certain sections as refreshers.
