I started charting this cycle. Problem is I work shift work. I was working days for the first two weeks of my cycle, and now I'm doing nights. that means I usually sleep from 9am to 430pm. I usually take my temp aroud 3am when I get up to go to the bathroom. But obviously I'll still be at work then. Today is my crossover day, where I try to get prepared for nights. I went to bed at 3am. Then I woke up at 6 and got a temp of 97.73, then I thought it might not be accurate because I hadn't slept long yet. I temped again at 11am and got 97.45 which seemed correct. Then I temped again when I woke up for good at 2pm 98.10. I don't know what to write in my chart. My temp could be high from sleeping in, or it could be going up because I should be ovulating soon. Don't knw what to do. Please look at the link to my chart and tell me what you think.

I'm not sure what to do...maybe Shawna will know. Do you switch every two weeks? or is it less frequently?

I think TCOYF has guidelines for temping with shift work. I know The Art of Natural Family Planning does, but I don't know those guidelines.

Your other option is to learn a CM only system of charting. You can tell when ovulation occurs with a good understanding of how to evaluate your CM so that temps are not necessary at all.

thanks anyways ladies. I'm gonna use the lowest temp, and just take it easy and hope it works itself out.
