I was looking at some printable charts that I can keep bedside for when I am ready to start having periods again, so that I can mark them immediately with the temp and not forget.

My question is on the printable charts I have found they have a section that says "Vaginal sensation"

What does that mean? Can someone explain the vaginal sensation to me because this is the first time I heard of it.

This is just one of the several that have it on there

it's another way of charting CM. Taking Charge of Your Fertility explains it really well, I'd suggest reading the book to learn more, they also have some wonderful charts you can use too!

Most people break vaginal sensation down into: dry, sticky, cold/gooey, and humid/lubricative. I check my vaginal sensation when I check my cervix and I just record the first thing that pops into my head when I feel the vaginal walls. Not every woman will feel all four sensations, for instance I've never felt dry. The other thing to keep in mind is that if it seems confusing and you don't think you'll get the hang of it, you don't have to chart your vaginal sensation. Just be sure that you DO chart both temps and CM.

Actually, sensation refers to the feeling you notice externally at the vulva as you go about your day, walking around. Examples include feeling nothing (dry), feeling wet, feeling slippery, etc. There is always moisture inside the vagina, so it's virtually impossible to be dry there unless something is very, very wrong. Sensation refers to external observations, not internal ones.

Thank you ladies. I appreciate everything. I tried charting before but I didnt do all that well with it. I know this time it will be different. If we dont get our BFP soon atleast with these charts my doctor will be able to fix or help me with what is going no so the we can get pregnant and hopefullly stay that way this time.
