OK...

I thought I o'd two days ago on CD 20. I have had EWCM for several days now. I got a peak on my FM on CD19 and CD 20, High CD21 and Low this morning CD 22. My temp is creeping back up. So, here's my question...how could I possibly still be having EWCM??? I have tons and tons of it today. What the heck is going on??

hey..I just came across this on FF

Fertile cervical fluid after ovulation

While cervical fluid typically dries up immediately after ovulation, it is sometimes present even after ovulation. This is because the corpus luteum produces some estrogen at this time and this may cause you to see some cervical fluid at this time. If you have already ovulated and temperatures are clearly elevated and the elevation is sustained, this need not be treated as fertile fluid and the ovulation date does not need to be put in question.

If the thermal shift is not dramatic, however, you may want to consider that you could still be fertile if you observe fertile cervical fluid later in the cycle, just to make sure you do not miss a chance to conceive.

The vertical line indicating ovulation is dotted when seemingly fertile cervical fluid is observed at this time. This is meant to alert you to keep observing your signs and to consider yourself as potentially fertile if ovulation has not certainly already passed.

Thanks so much for the reply. I have been confused about mixed fertility symptoms that I have been getting. Here is a rundown...

PEAK on my CBEFM on CD 19 and 20

EWCM CDs 16 through 23

HSO cervix CD 20 through 23 (although it was MUCH softer this morning)

No nipple soreness, which I always have at O time, and shortly thereafter

So on a whim, mainly because I was not convinced that I actually did ovulate on CD 20, I bought some OPKs on my way home from work.

Here were the results...

OMG!! +OPK!!! I guess my CBEFM was wrong because this is the first cycle I have used it and it is learning my cycle. I am so glad that I trusted my instincts about my other fertility signs!!

The CLEFM isn't foolproof. It can be helpful, but overall your CM is the most reliable indicator of fertility.

Shawna, I remember you saying that, which is why I picked up some OPKs. I kept having EWCM...
