For the life of me I've tried finding it and can't. I know I have one somewhere in there....just can't seem to feel it. Can it be possible for it to be so high that I can't touch it???

Anybody else have trouble locating their CP. Maybe I just don't know what I am looking for...

Help Please!!!!

Based on your last chart you O'd on CD13, so you are probably getting ready to now and that's why you can't find it. It can get so high you may not be able to reach it at O time. If you've located in the past several days and it's "gone" now, I'd mark it as high. Bad part about not reaching it is you can't tell how firm/soft or open/closed it is. I'm not sure how you're going about it, standing or sitting, but I've noticed it's a little bit easier for me to reach, when it's high, if I'm sitting on the toilet. Sorry if that's TMI, but I hope it helps! If you're ready to O, you best get to BDing!! Good Luck and catch that eggie!!

I don't check on a regular basis because I am never sure what I am supposed to feel. I wish we could somehow see in there to know what we are supposed to be touching. I thought the same thing today when I couldn't feel it. Do you know when the best time would be for me to check when it would be low so I could at least be fairly sure that I am checking the right thing.

Boy do I sound silly??? haha.... The things we go through while TTC.

It's best to check it around the same time every day and from the same position. That way you can feel the changes that occur. Your cervix moves continually thru the day, so it's better to be consistent with the checking. As for position....it's supposed to be low during AF (kind of a messy check) and then goes up to a high position for O and then back down for AF. As for how it feels...when it's low it'll feel more like the tip of your nose (firm) and when it's high it'll feel soft like your lips. As for the opening, I'm having a tougher time with that one. When you check, make sure your finger(s) clean and your nails aren't too sharp as you could damage your vagina and cervix. Also, try not to do it frequently during the day as your body kinda takes it as an intrusion and might...start resisting to put it nicely. I usually check my when I'm in the shower, it's clean, I can prop my foot up on the edge to reach better and it's usually about the same time every day. Hope that helps!!

If you're having trouble finding it, don't worry about it. Of all the fertility signs, the cervix is the least important - so going by CM and temps will give you all the information you need. Checking internally can actually disrupt the accuracy of your CM observations anyway, so to keep that as accurate as possible - either avoid the cervix altogether or only check it once at the end of the day after you have already made your CM observations for the day.
