After 7 months of trying to concieve I have just started to chart. Can someone tell me how long after ovulation is normal for temps to stay up? AF is suppose to start today (if it's a regular 28 day cycle which is not always the case) but I have had some pregnancy symptoms (cramping, headache, naseau, tired) the past 8 days and I am still testing negative but was wondering if I can tell from my temps. I have been up for 10 days.

I think it usually stays up until right when your period shows or stays up permanently if you are pregnant. I hope it stays up for you!

Some people get a temp drop before AF shows. Some get a temp drop the first day of their period. Some get a temp drop after AF leaves. It all depends.

My temps dropped nicely the day AF showed on my first cycle I was so excited that it worked and I knew exactly when I was going to start. My next 3 cycles my temps stayed up until sometimes during AF or after she left. I guess everyone is different. After a few cycles you will see how your body works. Hopefully you won't have to do a few cycles.

I'm glad you're finding plenty of charts to compare with. My temp always drops 2+ days before AF shows up. You'll see your pattern as time goes on. Sometimes the pattern will shift, but for the most part it should be nice and steady. Good luck!
