HI!
I've been charting for a few months, and my cycles have been all over the place. I was a steady 32 day cycle before my ectopic in Feb. I guess my body is still adjusting because they've been all over the place.

I bought a Target brand basal thermometer as a backup to my main one. I notice that when I started using it my temps were higher than with my other thermometer. Has anyone else noticed a difference in thermometer brands?

Also, which is a more accurate way to temp, vaginally or orally? I temp orally now, and I'm wondering if the reason my chart looks so weird lately is for that reason.

Ooo, one more thing does it look like I O'd on CD14 ? If I did that would be the first normal cycle in a while.

Thanks for reading!

I guess I'll have to be patient and see what my temps have for me in the next couple days. Thanks!

vaginal temps are more accurate, as they are not affected by sleeping with your motuh open, etc.

two identical brand thermometers can be very different, so it is key to use the same thermometer all throughout a cycle.

And make sure that you're consistantly temping the same way every day, vaginally vs orally.

Good luck!!!!!

And also make sure that you temp in the same spot. Especially orally having the thermometer in a different location in your mouth can make a big difference.

I didn't know it even had to be in the same spot. That's something I'll keep track of. Thanks for all the help!

yes, you want to pick the left or right heat pocket and consistently use it. I use the left because I hold the thermometer with my right hand, lol
