Allowing the time to vary by even a few minutes can make a difference in your temp. If you took your temp at the same time each day after at least 3 hours of sleep you would probably notice a much smoother pattern instead of the mountain ridge that you currently have. You really need to temp at the same time or your chart will be horribly inaccurate. Just set an alarm to go off at the same time every day, take your temp when it goes off, and go back to sleep if you want.

Knowing your temps are inaccurate it's really hard to say. The drop could have been because of a change in time or it could be a legitimate drop that would have happened either way. Normally I wouldn't recommend this, but you may want to try using a Temperature Corrector to set your temps to a matching time. Then make sure you continue to actually temp at that time each day so your chart will be more accurate. Just be sure to make a note of what each temp was originally. It still wouldn't be 100% accurate, but it would paint a much clearer picture.

In order for your temps to be accurate, they NEED to be taken at the same time every day, or as close to it as possible. As little as 15 minutes can make a huge difference,
