Hi all,

I'm new to this board. I am not new to having children though. We have seven children, six are girls, and our son is smack in the middle of them all. My husband has been gone overseas with teh military for nearly the last year or so. Typically we have our children an average of eighteen months apart. Since he's been gone there'll be a little more of a gap though. He is due to come back the end of next month.

I thoroughly enjoy charting fertility. In fact I chart fertility in my goats, dogs, and myself. I've been charting on a calendar just using the cervical fluids. However, I'm a very goopy person. My cycles vary greatly too. This last cycle was 29 days but the one before was 42, and I think the luteal phase was only nine days.

He and I are very much wanting to get pregnant again right away when he comes home. With these strange flucuations in my cycle it's been a bit crazy trying to track down ovulation. I just signed up with fertility friend and I'm trying to learn how to understand their chart. I just had my cycle and it ended yesterday so that's the only thing I have on their so far. I would like to use the Basal Body Temperature to help evaluate my cycles also.

One question I have about the chart. I can't seem to find where I can put in the day my period ended. Can someone guide me? My only hope is that I won't have to use the chart for too much longer.

Hi and welcome! Glad you're here, and I hope you get pregnant right away when your husband comes home!

About your chart...do you chart on your computer? It would help if I could see it...

I do have it on fertilityfriend.com I'm not sure how to post it on here so you can see it since I'm so new to it. I did find out that if no information is entered concerning your cycle they just assume that you had finished it. Now what I'm looking for is where it will allow me to enter in when I know I ovulated. I have not been doing any BBT only cervical fluids, but it kind of looks like they base your ovulation on the temperature instead.

Denise

Another question, how do you all create such great signatures?

Welcome aboard

WHen you go to your chart... on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen, hover "sharing" and then on the new menu, click on "home page set up"

At the top of this new page, it will give you your link, just copy and paste it into a post here

To edit your siggy, click on "my controls" and the top right of any page on the forum, and scroll down on the left-hand side to "Edit Signature". If this doesn't make sense, come back here and I can post pictures to guide you

Here's the URL. Like I said I haven't been using BBT so there's no information there. I've only had three complete cycles since he's been gone because I was nursing. Those three have been a little of all over the place.

I understand how to place a signature, I'm just wondering how you created the pictures you have in your signature. They look like digital scrapbooking?

Oh I see, sorry I misunderstood you! THey are scrapping, mine are a collection of blinkies I've made.

You can request siggies here, the girls make some gorgeous ones!

Blinkies can be found online all over google Or you can request custom ones in the Blinkie R Us forums beside the one I linked.

As for your chart, do you ever note your CM (cervical mucus)? That can tell a lot about where you are in your cycle as well.

That's the only way i do check for ovulation is by noting my cervical mucous. However, I'm one to have mucous all the time so I really have to make sure I know what kind I'm having, it can be tricky sometimes. I think combined with BBT I can get a better idea, but I think by time I do that it might be too late...happily.

Just finished bleeding on Sunday. Still having a pinkish discharge right now, this time it's lingering forever.
