a pregnancy test would show a positive result in your opinion?

I ask because I have a handful of pregnancy test that expire next month and well I think using expired tests is asking for trouble so I figured I'd just go ahead and have a little fun this month and POAS! I usually start "spotting" by 10 DPO, so I figured well what’s the fun in testing if you KNOW you're not pregnant? So I tested at 8DPO and it was a most definite negative. I'm assuming I'm most likely NOT pregnant but do you think 8DPO would be too soon to tell if I were by some miracle?

What's the earliest anyone's ever got a +?

I've heard of women getting negatives until 17 DPO and some getting them as early as 8. It depends on the date of implantation, the rate of the HCG increase, the sensitivity of that particular test, etc.

I used to hold off until at least 10DPO. I got my bfp at 14DPO but I hadn't tested before that as I spotted for a few days and was convinced AF was starting

I am horrible about testing waaaay too early. However, when I found out I was pregnant last year, I thought I had just Od a few days before ....I had a blood test done at work for other stuff, and bam, I was pregnant. So, who knows really how many DPO I was, but I was shocked!

I wanted to test in July at 8dpo, but DH wouldn't let me. I usually have a 10 day LP so I didn't think it was too early. I tested at 10dpo and it was SO dark, I don't doubt I would have gotten a positive at 8dpo.

I think it depends on the person/test/time of implantation. I always have an 11 day lp, so I am always tempted to test early. With my last pg I tested from day 10 and got negs til my bfp on 14 dpo. I think the pg b4 that I got my bfp on 14 dpo also, but didn't test til then, and it was very faint.

ETA~CONGRATS!!!! I see you got your bfp!! What dpo did you get your positive? Just curious since of course I got a bfn and I'm looking for some hope.
