I'm so worried that I may not have ovulated or won't despite having two days of positive OPK's (3 tests total). On Saturday I had a ton of semi-painful cramping and sharp pains where my left ovary is and I just knew I was ovulating that day. We DTD on at 2:30ish on Sunday morning because that is when DH came to bed so my temp may or may not be accurate for that day because I didn't have 3 hours of sleep before taking my temp at 4:30. But anyhow, my temps just don't seem to be showing ovulation at all yet. And I have not had any cramping at all since right after we DTD Sunday morning. Bryson normally nurses 4-5 times a day but on Saturday was being more needy than usual and nursed at least 8 times and now since I haven't seen a temp spike I am driving myself crazy thinking that may have stopped ovulation from occurring. Could that happen?
I just wish I knew already! The wait to see the temp spike is so bad right now!

You've had more signs other than temps which point towards O... +OPK and the change in your CM. I'm hoping the next few days temps will show a good spike for you chickie!
Keep us posted

It is possible that you've O'd and you're going to go into a slow rise instead of having a huge spike. It's also possible that since you're breastfeeding that your body is rev'ing up, but just not doing it. I've heard of a lot of women not ovulating while breastfeeding. It just doesn't happen. Your body is already nourishing one child though so it may not be able to handle nourishing two through both pregnancy and breastfeeding. I look at the lack of ovulation as a defense mechanism that keeps us from over-extending our own reproductive systems. You may want to talk to your doctor about your TTC efforts and see what he/she has to say.

It looks like I definitely didn't ovulate. Oh well, I guess I'll just keep charting and using the OPK's. I know it will eventually happen. I am not planning on weaning my son until he is ready to wean himself so if I don't O for a while yet that is ok with me. He's much more important to me than any child I don't have yet, of course. It was just so exciting to see those positive OPK's and thought my body was ready. We'll just have to keep on keeping on.

What makes you think you didn't O, if you don't mind my asking?

I don't mind at all. I just don't think my temps look like I did O since there hasn't been a temp spike or any obvious change in the pattern. Do you think there is a chance I did?

The CM and CP indicate ovulation.. and now *look* to be post ovulation. But keep temping to see over the next few days. Plus you had + followed by - OPKs. It's all pointing towards O.
I'd be interested to see if Shawna comments here. Love reading her posts!!

You might actually see a spike tomorrow. If you look at my charts, especially for June and July, you'll see some slow rise examples. You could be seeing something similar now.

Anna, your temps did have a slow rise and it doesn't look that off from what I have right now. That definitely gives me hope!
Also, it would be odd that I have been cramping almost daily for months and the day after I had all the more painful cramping together with the ovary pain it suddenly isn't there anymore. Maybe I really did O! Maybe all that time my body was trying to gear up for it and now that it finally did it I'm not having the cramps anymore. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sure!

With you BFing, it's difficult to say what's going on. But I'm unsure about cramping for months. That doesn't sound pleasant at all!

Breastfeeding can actually cause cramps. I know for me it was very, very painful right after delivery. I've been told, but never tried it, that changing the position slightly can make a difference in that.

Well it wasn't really painful cramping. It was more like the dull ache you get right before AF starts. But I really did have it for months. Who knows! I am anxiously awaiting tomorrow's temp now though!
You ladies are great. Thank you for helping me sort through all of this and being so patient!
