I am not sure how to do this or if I am seeing it right. But I tested my CM a bit ago right before I went to the bathroom, I did the finger testing, and it was like cloudy with like I dunno "chunks" (not big chunks) but in it, and I took it in between my forefinger and my thumb and it stretched for a minute then went back down. The "chunks" sorry, were white and around it was clear like just wet. Am I doing this right? AND what would I record it as? I recorded it as watery. Am I right?

Sorry so TMI!

If I did record it right it is saying I am probably fertile. Can I be already with my period just being gone on Sunday?

Different systems of charting have different ways of observing CM. With the system I use, you just pay attention to how you feel down there as you go about your day - do you feel nothing? Do you feel wet? Do you feel slippery? That sort of thing, and also if you happen to see any CM on the toilet paper you jot down what it looks like, but no touching it or anything.

Other systems require you to measure it with your fingers and all that. Just follow the instructions given by whichever charting system you are using.

FF has really limited categories for mucus observations, so just pick the description that is the closest to what you observe. It should definitely be considered potentially fertile. Yes, even if you just finished your period. Your fertility can even begin while you're still menstruating (especially for women who tend to have shorter cycles). If you're TTC with FF, then just record it based on the description that is the closest...even if it doesn't really describe it accurately. If you're TTA, then I highly recommend taking a charting course from a certified instructor and using a different charting system as FF isn't designed for TTA and isn't comprehensive enough for that.

This is exactly why I don't mess with CM. It's so confusing!

Sometimes CM can be difficult to distinguish between the types.

Let me find the link I used... It's starts on this page and continues on second page - hope it helps!

We use www.nfpcharting.com, but you have to take the Billings Ovulation Method charting course first or the website won't make any sense (or be of any use).
