hi everyone. I was wondering what the good sites on charting are. I am new to this and not sure what I am supposed to be doing. I do know that you need to get a basal theromerter . (Which I have done ) and take you temp before you get out of bed in the am. but what is a cover line and how do you find out what it is ? When your temp spikes does that mean you going to or already have ovulated ?

As you can see I need alot of help.

Thanks for all your help !!

I used http://www.fertilityfriend.com

It has online learning course which teach you what you need to know. You don't really need to know about your coverline... if you temp each day, FF will automatically note your coverline when ovulation is detected.

You would have 3 days of higher temps which would indicate ovulation has occurred. Your temps don't tell you when you will O but rather confirm that you have Od. However if you take note of your cervical mucus (CM), each day, that can tell you when you are moving into the fertile phase.... meaning it's BDing time!!!

Well right now I am just temping to get used to doing it. I am still bleeding from my d&C so. I think we are waiting another month. But thanks for the warm welcomes.

couple question.

What is a cover line and how do you find out what yours is ?

What is happening when your temp spikes ? Is that when you have ovulated or getting ready too?

I have heard that there could be a dip in temp when you have implantation and then it goes back up and stays up ?

Sorry for all the question. With all my pregnancy I have been just going by a ovulation calendar and have gotten really really lucky. Well I want to make sure it happens again .

Thanks for all your help

As I put in my post up the top, you don't have to worry about your cover line... if you record your temps each morning, FF website will automatically give you cross hairs and mark your coverline.

Your temp can fluctuate throughout your cycle. But typically a spike can indicate that you have Od.

Some women have an implantation dip and are pregnant... some have ID and aren't pregnant. It's a difficult one!
