I'm usually on the TTC #1 board, but I had a question about charting...

I want to start charting with temps...I already chart with changes in my cervix, but I'd like to know exactly when I've ovulated, but my problem is that I tend to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.

How does/will this affect charting? Has anyone else experienced this?? Should I just chart my temp at like 3 or 4am (when I typically get up to use the bathroom) or just wait until around 6 to 7am when I get up for that day?

I've been charting for 3 cycles now so I'm pretty new to it. What I do is I have my alarm clock set for 6 am every morning (even weekends) and I have my Basal Therm. right next to my pillow. I take my temp before I even get out of bed at the same time every morning. From what I read, as long as you get at least 4 hours of solid sleep and are able to test at the same time every morning, you should be OK! I hope this helps until someone with more experience shares! Good luck!

Welcome to the board!

Temp after 3 consecutive hours of unbroken sleep. Personally, I'd stick to the same time each morning.
