Well AF finally showed up yesterday, making that cycle a whopping 129 days. As strange as it sounds, I'm actually happy to see AF. And even better, I O'd!!!!! I'm a bit concerned about my 8 day luteal phase, but still it's great to finally have a definate O.

YAY but BOO at the same time for AF. I'm glad you had some closure.

I can't remember if I've asked you this before...but have you spoken with your dr about this? Your cycles being so long, and then the 8 day LP is a big red flag.

Good luck to you for this cycle hon!

I haven't seen a doctor about it, but I have seen my midwife. She concluded that I'm probably having issues due to long term use of birth control pills. It can take up to 18 months to get back to normal after suppressing ovulation for so long. For now I've chosen to take a natural approach while I wait it out to see if I get back to normal. It's only been 10 months since I stopped taking the pills, and this is my first for sure O. My midwife also mentioned PCOS, but that isn't confirmed at this point. And even if it were, I would still be taking a natural approach.
