How do you take your temp.? In your mouth? Is any one place more effective?

I personally temp in my mouth. I always wake up and roll over to get my thermometer that is on my night stand and take my temp while lying on my right side with the thermometer under my tongue on the right side with my right hand hold the thermometer in place and the cap to the case and my left hand holding the big part of the case. HAHA. I am sure you wanted that much detail, right?

I do know that other people here temp vaginally and get more readable charts but I am happy trying to interpret my see-saw-ing chart.

I always temp'd orally too. But it's supposed to be more reliable temping vaginally.

I started temping orally but then moved to vaginally when I realized that sleeping with my mouth open caused my chart to look like the Rocky Mountains. I've notice that since temping vaginally my temps aren't quite as up and down and have a better pattern to them. But, if you are temping orally now and want to change, don't change in the middle of your cycle, wait until the next one as the temps aren't consistent from one location to the other.
