Do you have to sleep before you temp?

Like could you temp everyday at the same time, like after resting for 30 minutes or whatever, but not sleeping, and have it be accurate??

I have a 6 week old who will not allow me to schedule anything.

In everything I have read says that you need at least 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep before taking your Basal Body Temperature for charting purposes.

Good luck with your little one.

I don't even know what three hours of uninterrupted sleep is anymore.

Thanks for your help.

I know what you mean....trust me--it WILL get better-- I promise!

She'll start sleeping for longer bits of time soon, and you'll get some sleep.

Parker started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks old....of course, I woke up that morning and KNEW she had passed away, because she hadn't woken me up!

I remember that feeling the first night my kids slept through the night. For the length of time it takes to get to them, it's horrifying. And then you feel this wave of unbelievable relief when you realize "I get to sleep now!" LOL

I'm sure I will be able to comment on the sleep issue in a few months!
