I've been charting my temps and in the middle of charting my thermometer starting acting weird (battery dying?? - cannot figure out how to open to change the battery) so I went ahead and bought a BBT digital thermometer - from that point on it completely threw off my charting temps.. I get the feeling that FF will not be able to pin point my O day..

I THINK I may have o'ed due to the positive OPK I had on CD 17 and since I had some OPKs left over (had to be used up within 30 days) I kept testing and getting a darker positive. Now yesterday I started having tender breasts in the mornings then it goes away with occassional pains here and there in the boobs, with some crampings, some backaches that is very noticable, I'm more tired, and I'm noticing I'm hungry a lot more. I typically start having these symptoms a day or two after I have O'ed.

But my Temps is WHACKED so should I just stop charting my temps because it's a mess already?? Has anyone with an Annovulatory cycle experienced any symptoms that were similar to when they o'ed?

Pls help??

It's probably a good idea to wait to temp until next cycle. Switching thermometers in the middle of the cycle can mess up your record, because not all thermies are calibrated to the exact same degree - one might read slightly higher or lower than the other. But, what you can do is keep close tabs on your CM in addition to those OPK's and you should still be able to confirm ovulation when it happens.

It would probably drive me crazy! - the whole changing then wondering if it was the same as your old thermometer, lol.

Good luck!

What thermometer do you suggest that works the best?? The one I have is from Walmart and the F (the degree) typically blinks until it hits 96.90's then it stops but if I keep my thermometer in - my temps keeps rising to a low 97 then it stops?

Yeahhhhh it's driving me crazy wondering all the time now - Sometimes I'll think "ohh we missed it - I'm not gonna be successful this month" other times I'm like "hmm maybe we did it??" It's crazy how our minds works!

I have a Walgreens brand and like it a lot, but I don't have anything to compare it to!

Doesn't matter as long as it's a basal thermometer and it's used consistently.

I got both of mine from Ebay, no particular brand. KUP on the cycle!
