i am new to this charting, and my first ten days are pretty much to be disregarded as i did not know how to use the thermometer properly . Well since CD 10.doing it properly! and i fluctuated forever..then i was low and today my temp spiked. i am not doing OPK, and this is a basic fertilityfriend membership..so not all information is there. My Cm has pretty much been a combination of Creamy or sticky with a few bouts of watery since the beginning of the cycle. not really indicitive of O'ing. my CP has been relativly medium a few low days. i havent found it this week however so i need to update as High.
i am scared i dont ovulate. my cycle is fairly regular at 28 days, sometimes 29, and when i was on the pill 25. i am scared that if i ovulate late in a cycle and my LP is short that when we decide to TTC i will have difficulties. does anyone think this chart looks normal? is having a shorty LP really a huge deal? is it possible I dont ovulate?

First off, and I'm excited for you starting to TTC!

Second, it doesn't look like you've Od quite yet to me....when did you go off of the pill? The pill regulates your cycle, so it will always be just about the same.

Just because you haven't Od yet, or that you will O late in your cycle doesn't mean you will haev a short LP. Some people have short LPs and have no problems, some people do have problems. I have to take progesterone supplements when I'm TTC because of the short LPs I have.

Have you tried using OPKs? I think they're great! Also, you might want to try reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertility", you can find it pretty cheap on Amazon.com, it's a great read!

good luck!

thanks for the welcome! i went off BC in mid july. it is possible i havent completely gone back to normal..but i was only on the pill for 6 months. so i kind of hope that this isnt going to screw my cycles for too long.

I will take a look ath that! thanks for the suggesting. my DF wants to do it more naturally and not spend alot of money on OPKS until we feel i need to. i want to buy them though

If you guys would rather not spend the money just yet on OPKs, keeping careful record of your CM & CP can be as effective.

I Sarah on the LP thing. I was a typical 27 day cycle, Oing around CD16. So typically my LP was around the 10-11 days. And look at me I didn't need anything to maintain the pregnancy, whereas Sarah did and she managed to have her gorgeous Parker. Everyone is unique and there are ways & means, so don't be so afraid!!

Hang in there! It's way too soon to say you don't ovulate, you need several cycles in a row that don't show ovulation to confirm that. It can take 3-18 months for your body to sort itself out following hormonal contraceptive use, so give yourself a little more time. It's still early.

Just because you ovulate later in the cycle also does not automatically mean you'll have a short LP. I've conceived as a result of ovulating very late in the cycle - day 23, day 28, day 54, and day 60! I have PCOS, so that's why my cycles are so long and irregular, but it's evidence that delayed ovulation is not automatically unhealthy ovulation.

Keep tracking and try not to speculate about what will happen, watch to see what actually does happen!
