Ok, so this ovulation makes me want to lay in bed...I have been watching for it...so I can be aware of when my next cycle is due...and to prevent of course...
well, I have had lots of ewcm, cervix feels high...and my left side...HUUUUUUUUUUUUURTS.
I am beginning to think this egg just won't come out! And that's what is causing the pain...another stupid cyst...
as a matter of fact I am going to go down to the dollar store and get some dollar opk's to see if I am surging...since I still have lots of ewcm..I am sure I am either peaking or about to peak...estrogen wise...
the thing is my bb's already hurt bad...and my left side is so sore...maybe I did try to ovulate out of my right side earlier..but it was a no go...and now my body is torturing my left ovary...
anybody get such sore pain...and go on to ovulate successfully? Or does it always end up in a cyst?
I was just lurking here but I wanted to reply to you. I just ovulated a few days ago and had some major pain along with it. I'm still nursing my 14 month old so my cycles aren't regular at all. I had my first PP af October 4th with ovulation occuring the week before with no pain. My body attempted to ovulate several times throughout the month and finally succeeded a few days ago. The pain started Saturday afternoon and lasted until Monday evening. It was horrible and hurt to do much of anything including going to the bathroom. Sex was pretty painful as well and hard to find a comfortable position even though my cervix was very high and soft. My pain was on the left side as well. I thought maybe it was a cyst as well but my thermal shift proved otherwise and it was in fact ovulation and I haven't had any pain since Monday afternoon/evening (though I did have crampiness through Tuesday).
I could always feel myself ovulate before having kids but it was more of a crampy/twingy type sensation. It was worse after having my first and then this last time was absolutely horrible! The pain was so bad it had me searching online to find out if it was normal or if it was a cyst or what. I've come across many articles that say ovulation pain can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few days and sometimes the pain is so bad it can be confused with appendicitis! So while it's not "normal" to be so painful it's certainly not unheard of.
I hope you feel better and that you actually do ovulate and it's not a cyst!
ETA: I had tons of ewcm too, but then again I almost always have ewcm.
Thanks for your reply...yah it had me wondering if it is Normal OR NOT...but apparently my little ol' ovary is trying to squeeze an egg out because I just took an opk..this is my first time taking them while I have o' pain and ewcm...I am pretty sure it is positive, but I'm going to post it...
I have taking tons of opks outside of ovulation--checking for cysts. And I have never seen a line this dark before on one...but that makes sense...
I will post it in a sep thread. Thanks for your reply...this is some form of natural birth control--because it HURTS! At last I'm in tune to my body--great when using NFP.
yes, thank you. the pain is gone now. yesterday. I took extra vitamin b-complex. Vitamin E and zinc. As I read it helped in delivering the egg and preventing the cyst from forming. So. I am in alot less pain now! My bb's even stopped hurting so much. I actually feel good today!
