When you BD for TTC reasons (lol), how do you do it? Meaning, do you have a specific way, do you elevate your hips, stay in bed?

We've been doing it regular missionary style, but I guess technically we aren't "trying" yet (whatever! ) The official TTC date is in March so I guess if it doesn't happen by then I'll start propping myself up with a pillow

I don't make a lot of cm, so we use preseed. We usually bd in the missionary postition, or finishing in that position. Then DH hands me my "propping" pillow. We read for about and hour like that. I want to make sure all the spermies get where they need to go.

We haven't been TTC to long so right now its still more of "are the kids asleep? Hurry up, lets go!" Some things don't change because the kids get older. But I do just lay still for 10-15 minutes, DH says I'm marinating.

lol, marinating. That's funny.
We usually try to finish in missionary position, and I lay around for about 20 minutes after. Maybe I should be elevating my hips...

Right after BD'ing, I pop my DivaCup in and do head stands... no joke!

Wow I'm starting to think I'm not trying hard enough. LOL We just do whatever, however, nothing special in regards to TTC. Of course my main focus right now is getting my body back to normal, getting pregnant would just be a bonus at this point. Once I'm sure that I'm Oing regularly again, then we'll start trying for real. Maybe I should start propping my bottom up and letting myself "marinate" LOL

you know, I've actually heard it's bad to do headstands or elevate too far (some elevation is good though). Going too far makes the semen pool behind the cervix instead of where the opening is.

we generally BD right before bed, so I just don't get up afterwards and go to sleep.

I do the same as kellilee, we just BD before bed and I don't get up. I usually know which side I'm O'ing on and I'll sometimes lay on that side to let gravity pull the spermies in the right direction

We normally BD in a way other than him on top, but finish with him on top and I normally just go to sleep, or lay down at least 30 minutes.
