Ok, so the last 3 days my temps have been way down. Then yesterday I started spotting a little. It was only when I wiped, not even enough to need a panty liner. Then later in the day it was more like an EWCM consistency, but bloody instead of mucousy if that makes sense. Then it stopped. This morning my temp is back up again, and I'm having the thick bloody discharge again, but it's not really like spotting. Not really like EWCM with bloody streaks either, which is how it was the last time I spotted midcycle. I'm so confused! I have no clue if it's bleeding due to ovulation, or if maybe it's a mini af due to an anovulatory cycle or what. For now I'm just marking it as spotting on my chart, but I'm really not sure what it is. Any thoughts?

It could easily go either way - ovulation or a withdrawal bleed because your body's been trying so hard for so long.

Your chart is pretty wild, but I can't remember all your details. Do you mind if I ask a few questions? Do you take your temp at the same time every day, upon waking? Are you breastfeeding or have you weaned within the last 6 months? Have you been diagnosed with PCOS?

I take my temp as soon as my alarm goes off, the same time every day. I even set the alarm for the same time on weekends and then go back to sleep after I temp. If for some reason this doesn't happen, I'm sure to mark it. I haven't nursed a baby in more than 3 years. Stopped taking the pill 13 months ago. I have an autoimmune disorder that could be messing with my hormones. Haven't ever been diagnosed with PCOS, but my midwife did suggest it as a possibility last spring when I first started having problems. Up until about 8 months ago, I've never had any problems.

With Annov bleeding it's usually flow like a regular AF.

That's what thought. The one time I know for sure I had an annovulatory cycle, back in May-March, I had a normal AF. I still have on clue what is going on this time, it's very weird and frustrating. I'm about ready to try Vitex again, but I don't want to mess it up if I did actually O with this spotting, although it doesn't really look that way at this point.
