Hi everyone,
I hope this is the best spot to post my question. I post occasionally to the TTC #1 board. I'm Kristin and DH and I have been TTC for about 6 months, and I am still getting a handle on my cycle and charting (I was on the pill for 6 years until June).
I know that a new cycle/AF don't officially start until the first day of continual blood flow (as opposed to spotting). After observing my last few cycles, it seems that I spot for about 3 days, have a very heavy bleeding/cramping day, and then have one very light day or maybe 2 before I seem done. Has this pattern happened with anyone, and if so, am I still correct that my cycle doesn't start until the first day of bleeding? It seems strange that I bleed heavily for really just 1 day.
Thank you!

I could have written this post! Except this past month, my af was really weird! I think oyu are suppose to mark the first day of RED blood as your AF. For ex. I had a light light period this past month. It lasted 3 1/2 days. THe first day was light, and it was a reddish color, the next 2 days it was just spotting but dark blood... Which means I only really bled for one day, right?
but I usually have extremely painful periods. This time it was nothing!
Good Luck to you!!!! I hope you find some answers soon. I think its all the BC that we were on over the years has messed up our bodies. I was on BC for close to 10 years (I got off twice to have kids though), I 've got two. Good Luck!
