How do you do your laundry? Do you sort by color? Do you fold then put it away?

I work nights, and on my night off, i gather all the laundry and do about 4-5 loads. I sort whites from colors. I'm a nurse and I need my scrub tops whiter than white. For my whites I use Tide, a ton of oxyclean, calgon, and sometimes chlorine bleach. For colors i use whatever detergent was on sale that week and a little oxyclean. I fold them right out of the dryer before they get wrinkled, but they almost never end up getting put away lol.

I sort whites from colors and usually fold before putting away/hanging things up in the closet.

We don't really have many whites, other than socks and few other random things so I just sort light and dark for mine and hubby's clothes. I do our clothes, then separate loads for the kid's clothes, then another for towels. I fold and put away mine and hubby's stuff right away, and every 2-3 days the kids fold their stuff and put it away. They have their own hamper and are responsible for making sure anything dirty gets in there. For the younger 2 girls I sort out what goes to who and which are hanging and go in drawers, and my older 2 sort, fold and put away all of their own. With so many people, we have a ton of laundry so I do at least one load of something every day.
