As soon as I finished taking my temperature today I started doubting my temperature from yesterday. I don't have a light on my bedside table and usually if I take my thermometer out of bed it won't make it back there for the following morning. So I usually just read the temperature by the light of my alarm clock. The only drawback to this method is there is always a bit of a shadow at the top of the temperature which makes 7s sometimes look like 1s and visa-versa when my eyes are playing tricks on me.
So this morning it looked like a 97.72 but after yesterdays temp of (what I thought was) 97.19 seemed like quite a jump so I got out of bed with my thermometer and under a light today was indeed 97.72 so now I am wondering if yesterday was really 97.79 and not 97.19. The world may never know. Yet another reason why it would be good to have a thermometer that holds more than the last temperature taken and to have one that has a back light.
I guess I will just see what tomorrow's temp is and maybe discard yesterday's. And here I thought (and was wishing) AF was around the corner. I guess she is still a few days away. (TTA at the moment)

Shhh! No implantation dips allowed! HAHA. That would be against doctor orders. My chart is definitely NOT a pregnancy chart.
ETA: If I switch the Ovulation Detector method from 'Advanced' to 'Fertility Awareness' it will change my O date from CD29 to CD23, which would make me 17DPO instead of 11DPO. But that doesn't line up with my CM at all so I think CD29 is more accurate. As an interesting side note I did get an HcG blood draw yesterday for my miscarriage followup with the OB who to confirm that my levels have returned to zero.

It looks ok that AF might still be on her way.
But I have to add that if you are trying to avoid you should be abstaining from sex at any time you have fertile CM. Using charting to avoid takes a little more finess than using it to conceive, and FF is the WORST software to use if you want to avoid.
I don't know what your beliefs are, but CCLI has an excellent program to teach NFP. They even have a home study program, the text you get with it has a lot of good information for TTA and TTC, so in my opinion it is very worth buying. http://ccli.org/

Thank you for your reminder that if we are TTA we should be abstaining during fertile times.
But with that said I am going to be removing the intercourse data line from my chart. I am not in the mood for a lecture. I used FF (and the knowledge of my body) to TTA (using Fertility Awareness Method/FAM and not NFP) for 4 cycles off of birth control before TTC.

I think I'd change it to 97.7.

Wow, a lecture, is that what I did? Sorry I was just trying to be helpful. But, since I am in the lecturing mood FAM is not as successful as NFP in preventing pregnancy.
I was under the impression that you were trying to avoid based on doctors orders, but I am getting the feeling you are not so much caring about the docs orders (I don't blame you I only trust about half of what MDs tell me).
If you are using FAM, then I would think it is safe to assume you used a barrier method during the fertile times, so it isn't quite the same. If you were not, then there is a possibility that you could be pregnant based on BD and fertility signs.

Are you going to get a new thermometer, Kati? I often misread my temps early in the morning, so that's why I needed one with a memory function.

I am too cheap to buy a new thermometer when the one I have really does do what it is designed to do. If it stopped working I at least know what I want in my next thermometer. It does keep the memory of one temp but that doesn't help me when I want to remember yesterday's temp after taking today's.
But AF showed up today so I am excited. HAHAHA

Which therm do you have Kati that it doesn't record previous temps? (Just curious)
Also...I have my cell phone next to me and use that to read my therm when it's still dark in the morning (daylight savings time switches). Because I've definitely squinted with the 1s and 7s before!

I have a BBT thermometer from CVS pharmacy. It will only recall the one most recent temperature. When I told DH about my 7 and 1 problem he informed me that I could always just get a bedside lamp for my side. What a novel idea!

It DOES store one previous temp. The problem is that as soon as I take today's temperature, it no longer stores yesterday's temperature. I can only recall the one last temperature (which would then be today's temp). Does that make sense?
If I had recalled yesterday's temp BEFORE I took today's temp I would have seen it but I had no reason to since I thought the 1 was correct at that point.

I'm sorry, I thought the CVS one had a memory like my Walgreens one does (it saves like 5 temps)....I've had both, but didn't use the CVS one very long. I'll leave you alone now
