I hope you all don't mind if I ask this question here, but I could use some advise. I have been charting, including OPKs, checking CP and CM, and temping for nearly one year so I am not new to the process. In every past cycle, I have found that my cervix drops very low quickly after ovulation, like within 12-18 hrs after having O pains. This always always happens and is one of the main ways that I confirm I have ovulated. This month, my cervix is still really high after ovulation, except now it is closed tightly. It didn't drop at all. I am nearly positive I did O... it was almost text book. Lots of watery CM, wide open cervix, O pains and the DARKEST opk I have ever gotten. What gives? Do you think I didn't ovulate after all? Thank you so much in advance!!!

I wouldn't worry about it. Of all the signs, the cervix sign is the most difficult to interpret. Whether it's high or low isn't as significant as whether it's open or closed. Sometimes it can remain high in pregnancy cycles as well, but it's not conclusive all by itself.

I think your chart looks good for ovulation. I would just want to see one more high temp (the first one isn't high enough above the others to be included in the thermal shift) and 1 more day of CM drying up to be sure.

sometimes cervical position can change hour by hour. I wouldn't worry about it, your cm and thermal shift say it all.

Yeah, I have never been able to rely on cervical position....it seems to jump all over the place!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply to this. My temp rose again this am, so FF changed my o date to CD 16 which I agree on. Thanks for the info Shawna, now I will only really check on the cervical opening instead of the position. I was just worried that maybe I hadn't ovulated like I thought, but I think my temp rise confirms it. Cervix is still super high, i can barely reach it, but it is definitely closed. I guess if it is 'happy' hanging around up there, then I won't worry about it
