I've been charting for two months now and my temps are all over the place. I have no pattern at all, no spike, no dip, nothing. I'm fairly consistent with my temperature taking, always at 7 am even weekends. From my charts, it doesn't look like I'm ovulating. I've read about anovulation, where you don't ovulate, but still get a period.
My question about anovulation is whether or not that would happen every month? I always have a period within 31-35 day cycles. Would I still be having a period every month if I'm not ovulating?

Two things, are you temping before you get out of bed? And do you have a link to your chart?

If you're having a period every month, I would be very hesitant to think you're annovulatory. Annovulatory cycles can happen at times due to stress, illness, travel, but usually not on a consistent basis unless you have a serious reproductive problem (like severe PCOS, premature ovarian failure, or something like that). Most women in those situations do not bleed very often.
Are you temping after at least 2 hours of sleep, and before you get out of bed? Are you tracking your CM at all?

I take my temp as soon as my alarm goes off, even before turning the light on (my thermometer stores the temp until the next time you use it, so I wait to enter it on my chart until later in the day)
I am just using a manual chart. What is the best online chart to use?
I've also been tracking CM. My husband and I have been having sex every other day, so I can't really track it on the mornings after we had intercourse because of the semen. But on the opposite days I do and I had one day of EWCM last tuesday, but my temp never dipped or spiked afterwards. My temp was the lowest of the cycle today and I'm on CD 27.

Hmm, that's interesting.
Most of the girls here use Fertility Friend, which you can find online for free. I've heard that the Ovusoft software that comes with the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book is good also.
Welcome, and I hope you get it figured out soon!

I can't figure out how to put the ticker to show my chart, but i've attached it to my signature.
I went through all my temps yesterday and made a chart on FF

this cycle does look annovulatory. Is this your first month charting, I only see this cycle. You may just be having an off cycle...

Thanks for the better link!
I charted last month too, on paper only though, I didn't transfer those details yet. Am I just noticed that my cycle before this one was 42 days. I don't know how I missed that on my paper chart. I am really not that unorganized. Just super stressed out last month. If this month is the same then I would be due to ovulate today.
I like the online charting much better.

Just wanted to ask, are you using a Basal Thermometer? Are you temping in your mouth or vaginally? Do you sleep with your mouth open?
Some women get more consistent temps with vaginal, the themometer may not be very accurate or your mouth is just different temps.
One of the above would be my guess since you get your period often...ish

I do my temperature with a digital thermometer that only has once decimal place and I take my temperature orally.
I'm not sure if I sleep with my mouth open or not, I don't wake up with a super dry mouth, which is what I would assume happens when you sleep with your mouth open.
Maybe I'll get a new thermometer, with two decimal places and see if that helps.
Thanks for the tips!
