So i usually temp at 10am (i work nights) however this morning i was awakened early by my lovely mother just over to ask a question!! anyway that was about 9am. I took my temp then and it was 97.4 (has been higher the last few days 97.9) i did end up falling asleep again and woke up when the alarm went off and decided to take my temp then too just in case and it was 97.9! which one do i take???
Normally for every half an hour early you wake up, you should add 0.1 degrees to your temp, and for every half and hour later that you wake up you should deduct .1 from your temperature. Because you normally need at least 3 hours of sleep to get an accurate temperature reading. So your on-time temp is probably inaccurate
I'd say to either write down 97.4 or 97.6 (97.4 + .1 + .1).
Did you temp before, or after you talked to your mom? If after, neither of the temps will be any good. If before, go with the first one, plus .2....so, 97.6.
