You would think after two years of charting I would know the answer to this. In reality I probably do, but I want your opinion.

I normally temp at 6 am. Well, I was up at three this morning for about 2 minutes. My dog got out of her kennel that we put her in and got herself trapped in the bathroom. She woke me up trying to get out so I took her and put her back in her kennel, used the bathroom and went back to bed. Like I said....two minutes tops. I went right back to sleep and then woke up and temped at 6 like normal.
Well, I think ovulated last night, and had one heck of a temp rise, but I am not sure if I should trust it. How much, if at all, do you think my little experience affected my temps? Can I trust this temp rise is because I ovulated or do you think it's more likely that it's because of being up at 3?

One other thing that you can't see on my charts is that I also had what I am pretty sure was ovulation pains yesterday too.

Arg, stupid non posting error! Okay, let me try this again...

If you are ttc, I would go with the temp. It may not be completely accurate, but it's in the ballpark. Especially with everything pointing in that direction.

If you are preventing, I would say no, don't keep it. Better safe than sorry.

I'd say go with the temp. 3 hours is a good chunk of time. I've gone 2 hours without it affecting my temps. Good Luck!

Thanks ladies. I thought I could basically trust it realizing it might be slightly off.

Oh, and I should have added in my original post that we are TTC. Well, more of a NT/NP thing at the moment. Just trying to be a bit more laid back about things. After 3 years of this crap, we needed a break, so we are just starting to get back into it after a few months off.
