Ok, so I just realized that buying my BBT might have been a huge waste of time, at least until DH and I find and move into our apt! We're staying with his parents while we find a place, which has NOT been going well at all. I work a 9-5 shift, but DH works from 4:30 pm to 3:00am. So when he comes home from work I ALWAYS WAKE UP and it takes me a while to go back to sleep. So I'm always tired in the morning, and sometimes I don't hear him right away, or he'll take a shower first etc etc so basically my sleeping pattern is way off and will not be right until we have an apt and he can eat in the kitchen and watch tv in the living room until he's ready to go to bed.

So this will probably affect my temps a lot, right? Should I just wait til we move out to temp or should I go for it anyways? Also, since we have such opposite schedules, we only BD during the week once or twice, if even. We usually only BD on the wknds cuz one of us is always too tired during the week. So when I do ovulate, I probably will not even get to bd!!! ughh this is so frustrating

Any help would be appreciated!

thanks

I think you should set the alarm to the time your DH usually gets home. That, or tell your DH that you need him to come right in as soon as he gets home to remind you to take your temp. Just plan on taking it at 3am - or whatever time he gets home after work. Don't worry about going back to sleep and trying to temp around the time your normally wake up.

And, while you might not get a change to bd while you're ovulating because of schedules, I imagine, if you KNOW you were ovulating, you would make the time. Most ttc'ers usually do. lol!

Good luck!

i, too, was going to say to just temp at 3 am. as long as it is consistent, the time doesn't really matter. i'm a light sleeper and wake often at night. and, i go to the bathroom at least once (if not twice) at night. so, i just picked a time and temped at that time-no matter what. if it was an especially restless night, i just noted that on my chart.

good luck!
