This is the fifth month that we are trying to conceive. I went off of birth control September of 2008 and it looks like my periods are back to being irregular like when I was younger. I also go several positive OPKs and I think it was because my body kept gearing up for ovulation, but didn't. I start clomid next month if we are not successful.
I know I have ovulated finally, but I am unsure if it was on CD29 or CD35. FF says that I o'ed on CD29, but I still had Watery and EWCM after this. I had a temp rise on CD29, but then there was a dip on CD34 and a huge rise on CD35. I know this could possibly be a implantation, but I am very unsure. Also, my luteal phase is 11 days. If I did O on CD29, then tomorrow would be my expected AF arrival. I wanted some other opinions on this. I cannot post a link yet since I am new, but I would appreciate anyone willing to help. I can message the link to anyone that asks.
Either way, I am in the two week wait, but I'm not sure when I should test. Thanks to everyone for your help! I think I'm going crazy.

When mucus and temps don't agree, mucus always trumps temps.

Thank you, Shawna! I've been checking CM and CP for the past two months and sometimes it is hard to determine. I guess I'm just second guessing everything right now. I'm just worried that I am not the best judge.

It's very very very normal to be confused about that if you are teaching yourself to chart. Congrats - you're normal!!! It's generally much less confusing to learn that part from a certified charting instructor.

I can certainly see how beneficial a charting instructor would be. Just when I think I'm finally figuring something out my body changes again and I'm left scratching my head.
So even if you do see a three day sustained temp rise, it is still always best to follow the CM pattern? I think FF is great, but it is just a program after all.

Right....and FF is rather notorious for false interpretations anyway.
If you see a sustained rise, meaning you have 3 temps which are more than 0.2 degrees higher than the previous 6 temps - ovulation is likely. But if they aren't more than 0.2 degrees higher than the previous 6 and you are still having wet/slippery CM - go by the CM.

My guess would be either CD 35 or 36.

Thank you again, Shawna! If I switch FF to FAM, it switches my O date to CD36. I am going to wait until 11 DPO from this date to test. Only a few more days!

Thank you, Niamh! I was guessing CD35 or 36, too. I think FF is going by CD29 because I had a pos OPK a few days before. If I switch it to FAM, it changed to CD36.
It looks like we are very close in our cycles. I should be 6DPO today. It also looks like you have long cycles, too. It makes the wait so much harder with such long cycles. Thanks again!

No prob.
Actually, this is an unusually long cycle for me. My cycles have never been this long (except when I was pregnant or when I had my IUD, of course). My cycles are normally around 32-34 days. This cycle has been SOOO frustrating for me! LOL. I'm just glad I have FINALLY ovulated.

Good luck to both of you...when do you think you'll test?

Thanks, Sarah! I am trying to wait until Friday, but I'll probably break down and test sooner. AF is due on Thursday according to my last luteal phase (last cycle was my first cycle charting). I feel like I am having alot of early symptoms, but sometimes I feel like it is all in my head.
Thanks again for the well wishes!

Looks like I am out for this month! My temp starting going down on 10DPO and I knew AF was coming. I just started today. I've had two cycles now charting with an 11 day LH phase, so that was nice to see it confirmed. I'm off to pick up clomid today and I'll start taking it on Saturday. Heres to next month. Hopefully I'll have more luck. It will be the 6th months of TTC. Thanks for all of your help, Ladies!
