Hi everyone!! I have a question about CM. Should my husband and I have baby making sex every day that I have CM? I only notice it about 4-5 days a month. Is this the most fertile time that leads to ovulation and hopefully conception?

Thanks.

There are many different kinds of CM and "eggwhite" cm is the most fertile. Read this and you will know alot more about checking cm and what is fertile and what is not!

Thank you!! The article looks very helpful. I bookmarked it so I can refer back to it. I guess I was confused about when you actually see/have EWCM, are you ovulating right then, or will you be the next day, or so forth? I will continue reading to find the answer.

It is different for everyone, but generally you should O around the last day of ewcm. So if you have ewcm one day and then completely dry up the next you can be almost certain you Od the day before (which you should confirm with temping). Good Luck! When I first got into all of this TTC stuff all of those "charting courses" on fertilityfriend.com helped out alot!

The best plan I hear is that you should dtd every other day from cycle day 8 until cycle day 22. Then, if you see eggwhite CM, you should also dtd then, as well.

What if you don't ovulate until much later than that? I've conceived as a result of ovulation as late as day 64. It's much more reliable to time BDing on evidence fertility, rather than a calender prediction about when you'll be fertile. Bodies don't always follow the calender! LOL

Well, of course! But, I'm also talking about the "average" person that has a 26-32 day cycle. If you have your own history, and you know how long your cycles typically last, and you see a pattern from your CM, then you need to keep track of that, and make a plan based on that.

But, if you only started charting and you don't know your patterns, and you need a general idea of what to do, that plan makes the most sense.
