So I was planning to start using my fertility monitor this morning, and I waited till CD11 instead of CD6 to begin because my periods are usually very long (average around 35 days, but irregular). But somehow, yesterday and this morning, I'm getting two high temps, so early in the cycle! I decided not to waste the testing sticks, since it's possible I already O'd. I'm thinking I'll see how the temp is tomorrow - if it comes back down, I'll begin testing. Because frankly, this is just too early for me to O! Can you please look at my chart and tell me what you girls think? Thanks!

Very possible, especially if this recent bleed wasn't actually menstruation - it could have been breakthrough bleeding which occurs due to rising estrogen levels because your body is preparing to ovulate.
Every cycle is unique and it's totally normal to ovulate earlier or later once in awhile!

I have been taking opks since cd 7 and havent gotten a postive yet and my temp has been the same ranging from 97.5-97.7 it went down today to 97.3 but i am still getting negative. i usually o around cd10-11 and here it is cd 11 and i dont have postive opk. i know on cd5 and 6 i was getting my cramps like i do when i o which is y i am wondering if i already o'd. idk its so confusing.

Well, this morning's temperature was almost same as yesterday's, so I didn't break out my new monitor... Also, I should mention that this is my 3rd cycle temping, and as you can see my last cycle was long and anovulatory, but the cycle before that was (more or less) normal - 30 day cycle with the temp coverline at 97.7. So this is why the temps above 97.7 look suspicious to me... although they're not above by much, but still...
Yes, I agree this is just so confusing and infuriating, lol. I was looking forward to this cycle because i thought i'd start using my new monitor... i guess now i have to wait till next cycle

Well, since your last cycle was long and possibly annovulatory, you very well could have ovulated early.

But is it possible to ovulate with my current CM (dry) and CP (low firm)?

It may have happened already, during the bleeding. It may have been ovulation bleeding. Did you happen to notice if there was mucus mixed in with it?

Your temps just look very suspicious. Anything that could have affected your CM? Were you taking any cold medications or allergy meds recently? High doses of vitamin C?

Yup, Vitamin C (in higher doses) can act as a mucus inhibitor.

Hi girls,
Whoever's following this thread, here's an update!
My temp shot up even more this morning so I can now say I have definitely O'd!
...BUT...
As you can see from my chart, my CM and CP clearly don't indicate any signs of O (I know CM might have been affected by that vitamin C I've been taking!!), but CP is still low/medium and very firm..
ALSO, my temp has just been climbing since CD5, so I'm not really sure when EXACTLY I have O'd, and FF isn't giving me the CH's... Well, based on the cycle before last, my temp coverline was at 97.7, so if I base it on that, I O'd on CD9. But can the temp coverline be different this cycle? Can someone please stalk my chart to help me figure out when I have O'd?

I think that this cycle is more of a continuation of last cycle and that you O'd between CD 7 and CD9. I also think Shawna is right about the bleeding. More breakthrough or ovulation bleeding than AF. But I don't think FF will like this, it gets confused if you don't have the stereotypical cycle. Ivillage has a free chart that I liked much better than FF. It was also more accurate for my cycles. It's based off Ovusoft.
