I hope its ok if I jump in here, I'm kinda excited
I just started learning to chart with this cycle, I've had erratic cycle lengths (27, 33, 33, and 25 days) since I got AF back in December. I wasn't using a BBT until CD 15. I was so excited yesterday when I noticed a little tiny bit of blood in my CM all day long and this morning it is pink tinged. I think it may be implantation spotting. Can anybody take a look at my chart and tell me what they think? I am soooo freaking out How soon could I test???

IF this is IB you might be able to get a BFP in 2-3 days. But don't get discouraged if you don't get an early pos. Most women won't get a 9 DPO BFP.

Very very very promising! The timing is exactly right for implantation. To get an accurate test, try to wait until you are 12-14DPO.

I'm going to try the first test at 11 dpo, that would just be the best Mother's Day ever!

Nope BFN, AF came to visit big time.
Now I'm worried because I started spotting on 6dpo and FF said my LP was 8 days. Either way I've read that anything under 10 days is abnormal. Since this is the first month I've charted I guess I will just chart to avoid and see if the LP changes in the next couple of months, now I'm worried that there's something wrong or maybe I had an early miscarriage?

I don't know what to tell you.
I have short luteal phases, and have to be on progesterone supplements to prevent miscarriage.
Is this the first cycle you've had where your LP is short? If short LP is the case, it would need to be a definite pattern of short LP's over time.
Good luck!

I take vitamin B6 supplement and it lengthened my luteal phase by 2 days.

Have you discontinued a hormonal contraceptive recently? Are you breastfeeding or have you within the last 6 months? How many post partum cycles have you had?

I got my AF back on Dec 14th 2008 after giving birth on Sept 6th 2008 so that would be 5 cycles and yes I do breastfeed on demand, she has also been on solids since she was 24wks. We use condoms only. This is the first cycle I've charted so I don't know how long my other lp's have been pp. I just know that I never ever just spot for days on end, when AF comes to town she makes her presence known immediately, lol.

Ahhhh, if you're nursing then a short LP is totally normal. It can take at least 6 post partum cycles for the LP to return to a normal length even when you aren't nursing....so this is totally normal given that you're BFing! Some women find that their LP's lengthen over time while nursing, and for others the LP stays short until they wean. Only time will tell what the case will be for you.

Thank you so much for that info!!! I feel alot better now. I'm glad I started charting and will continue, it is nice to be informed about my body. I want to chart to avoid for a while, I think I should start visiting your board. Thank you again!
