I think my body is finally (after a full year) normalizing after coming off the pill. For seven months I didn't ovulate, and for the past 4 i barely had any cm. Now I have cm, but I don't know where to begin with charting it! I'm just never had any REAL cm to chart.

Typically I have some brown spotting and then ovulate a few days later. The only warning is my cervical position. Last cycle I got a blob of cm in the middle of church. Had to go to the bathroom and "tidy up". Peed on an opk when I got home, and sure enough it was positive. That was my first CM ever.

I think I need a crash course in cm checking.

The current situation, i seem to be making more cm. At work last night the panty liner was covered in it... more creamy like. Then I came home and had some bright red spotting. I've never had this before. Opk was negative. (also, AF was much shorter than usual this cycle)

Any idea what's going on? Haha, I might have been charting for a year, but I feel like a newbie with all this new stuff going on.

I wonder if maybe you weren't Oing a mature egg? And now this is the first cycle where your follicle was stimulated enough to produce a mature egg, the extra hormones could be responsible for the spotting? Sounds like your cycle is finally regulating though which is great news!

I getting even more confused now. My cm and cp point that i'm ovulating but i've yet to get a pos opk. I had a temp rise today, but i don't think it's accurate. It's after night sleep, and most of my temps are after day sleep. (night nurse here) I don't htink i've already o'd because my cp is still high soft and open

That's great!!! Healthy CM is crucial for TTC. I've seen this sort of thing with several post-Pill clients, just goes to show how delicate the cervix is. It can sure take time to heal after the Pill, even when you're ovulating regularly again.

Just keep it simple. Pay attention to how it makes you feel, if you feel very wet or lubricated. Then just make a note of how it looks, but don't get too caught up in that. How it feels is more important anyway.

it has been 12 months since i came off the pill and i have noticed in the last 4 cycles that my cm has changed once again.. i am now getting more ewcm right before o time.. where as before i wasn't getting it at the right time.. I think your body, like mine, is moving in the right direction to becoming "normal" I can't help with cervix position because I just can't seem to work that out yet lol.. but I agree, try not to read too much into in here and there, just take note of the consistency and how it feels.

GL and I wish you all the best when you start ttc again

How often are you taking an OPK? I test twice a day, sometimes you can miss it depending on the time of day and potency of your urine.
