Hi there....hoping you girls can help. I have had some weird bleeding going on (a couple weeks ago) and I am having trouble figuring out if it was a strange period or mid cycle bleeding from being off birth control pills recently. For charting sake, I would like to know! It is starting to look like I just ovulated (FINALLY) and would make sense if that mid cycle spotting was actually a period, since it would put me at CD 18ish for O. I have been really crampy for the last 4 days or so. Anyways, I would love to see what you ladies thought....period or BCP break through bleeding???

Let me first introduce myself. I am Dayna and I haven't really posted on this board before but I did chart for my first pregnancy and I am charting now to TTC our second child. So I have some experience with charting and I have read Taking Charge of Your Fertility but I am definitely not an expert on it. That being said, I don't see any definite pattern here that says for sure when you ovulated but it looks like fertility friend calculated your ovulation at day 25. Because you just got off of the pill it might take a few cycles for your hormones to regulate better. Your temperatures aren't as cut and dry but I have known people to get pregnant with charts that look like that. I would give it a few more months to regulate and see what happens. I wouldn't worry too much about what day you ovulate on. My cycles are never very regular but I was still able to get pregnant the first time around. I did have a definite pattern though with all pre-o temps being below the coverline and after o they were high until I started my period. How long have you been off the pill and how long have you been charting? Good thing about charting is that you can identify potential issues and a doctor can get you on medicine to help everything regulate if needed. Good luck TTC.

Thanks for the response. I'm wondering why you say that FF said I O'd on CD 25? I know my last cycle FF said I O'd on CD 25, but I didn't post that chart! lol...i'm so lost! My doc checked out my charts a week ago and agreed that I haven't ovulated yet since being off the pill (quit BCP in Feb). I also had a progesterone check and that confirmed that I haven't ovulated this month, but that was on CD 23. My doc is going to put me on Clomid if I go one more cycle without O. I already have a set of natural twins, and I don't want to go on Clomid if I am actually ovulating! One set is plenty! Would you guys count those 7 days or so of bleeding (CD 14-21) a period, putting me at CD 20 currently?

So I went ahead and split the cycle on FF. That made an insanely short cycle of like 13 days, and then my current cycle which i'm on CD 21 of. I'm sure I totally confused everyone, but thought i'd update. So far so good with O, 3 days now of higher temps and got my cross hairs! Whoo hoo! Of course all that random bleeding screwed me up and I quit OPKs like 3 days before it showed I O'd thinking I was on like CD 40 or something! Plus, I just checked my old charts from when I was TTC the last time (several years ago and the last time I was off BCP) and I O'd on CD 18 that cycle too! So i'm hoping i'm finally getting those nasty fake hormones out of my system! Yay!

The only chart I saw was the one that is up in the first post. Was I supposed to see a different one? Now that I look at it, it is from February to March. Can you post your current one?

I am not really sure how to get it into JM since I do not use the FF one. At the very least you should be able to copy and paste the link to your online chart.
