a +OPK

I took this opk this morning after I noticed EWCM and I felt that my cervix is opened. I am so excited. I have never had an OPK turn out like this.

um.. if hte line on theleft is the test and the one of the right is the other one then its neg.. hopfully its not though.

Hi ready4baby#2 the OPK's that I use have a control line and then the test line... The control line will always some up dark and the test line needs to be 'as dark' or 'darker' than the control line for it to be considered a negative.

The good news is that I start seeing a test line come up a few days in a row before it actually gets darker. I usually have 2 days in a row which aer considred positive and the rest are unfortunately negative HTH

I reccomend going by the instructions for your particular test type though

I use that same test, that is positive. The darker line on the left is the result and the one on the right is the control. Her result is darker than the control so it is positive. Have fun bd'ing and good luck!

hmm.. at first I was going to disagree with you.. but after looking at it again.. I'm wondering that too??

If the line to the right is the control line.. then it's really faint.. and I've never had a control line that faint before..I've had the test line that faint.. but not the control line??

In a truly positive opk, the test line will be so dark that it will pull most of the dye into it, and the control line will appear light. This test is a perfect example of that, and a blaring positive.

My OPKs never got like that though, lol. My positives were usually *barely* the same colour as the control line. I think only once or twice did it get darker than the control line.

This OPK is an Answer OPK It has a test line then a control line. The test line on this OPK is the Dark one. The control line is the light one. My instructions show that this is a Positive OPK.

If you look real closely at the test in the picture you will see that beside of the darker line it says test and beside of the lighter line it says control. thank you all for your advice.

Thanks lol. My tests are now coming up Negative. I had a positive on the 12th 13th and 14th and the ones on the 13th and 14th seemed to be a little darker then the one in this pic. So I guess I am in the 2 week wait now. We didnt get to BD as much as I had hoped so I hope we didnt miss the eggie this month. We BD'd on the 12th and 13th and lastnight so I am hoping that was enough to get the job done lol.
