Okay, I KNOW I need two more high temps to confirm ovulation. That's where the "devils advocate" comes in. Pretend the next two days are high also, confirming that ovulation has, indeed, occured. (I am confident they will be..)

I generally chart with ovusoft but their boards are down and so I transferred my last week or so onto FF so I can get opinions. My chart:

Let me explain: The intercourse marked with "X" was with a condom. The "PM" was not. Also, the day AFTER my +opk says it was negative.. I just want to clarify that the line was VERY dark, so dark that I really had to debate if it was pos or neg before I decided to mark it as a -- opk.

So, my two questions are: (and of course assuming my next two temps are high):

1) What day do you think I actually ovulated?

and

2) What do you think the chance of pregnancy would be? Would last night's bd be too late to have caught the egg?

It is hard to say if you ovulated for sure but it looks like you could have. I think you stand a good chance of getting pregnant but I am really confused about why you are using condoms. Are you trying to conceive or avoid?

There is a little bit of differences in charting to avoid pregnancy and charting to conceive.

I am pretty sure that I have ovulated. Of course, there is no confirmation yet, but with the +opk, the ovulation symptoms I have had, and the temp rise today (to a range that my post o temps are always at), I am confident it has happened. I just don't know if it would be yesterday (CD 27) becuase of the temp rise today, or the day before, because my cm has been dry for (today is) 3 days... mind you, my cervix was still high yesterday, so I am *thinking* if it happened, yesterday was it..

Oh, and the condom thing.. lol Hard to explain. We are not actively ttc. SUPPOSEDLY we are in the the "tta" category. We're just not taking it very seriously or trying all that hard to avoid. As you can tell by the unprotected bd last night. But I told dh the day before that I thought O was coming, so he said, "that's okay, we'll use a condom".. and then didn't even mention it yesterday.. Yeah. Doesn't make sense to me either.

I think you would have a chance of getting pregnant this month. TMI question, did he finish inside? You can obviously still get PG if he didn't but chances are higher if he did. So are you secretly hoping for a pregnancy?

Yes, he did. And my temp is even higher this morning, so I am sure O has occured.. Am I secretly hoping to be pregnant? Yeah, but it's not quite a secret, even dh knows I want another! lol

No that makes sense. I think maybe you should talk to him about wanting to try. I talked to dh for quite a while before he was ready to try for one more.

I think your o date may be off on FF. Your temp went up but right back down and the first spike was not above your earlier six temps. I think that day 27 looks like the right day. I hope you will stick around the charting board. We need some more charters on the board.

I have talked to him, and he's saying he's "done".. BUT that he'll give me one more because I want it. But he's not sure about now, maybe trying in nov/dec of this year.. but if it happens, it happens.. We don't really get anywhere in these conversations! lol

Did you look at my chart TODAY, with the cross hairs? Is that where you're saying O date might be off? Becasue I really think so too. I know my cm dried up after that day, BUT my opk was still positive the day after, my cervix was still high, I was still cramping, AND had severe O pain the night of cd26 and morning of cd27, and my temp was still low... So the only thing that "really" adds up for O being cd25 is my cm. Everything else says cd27ish.

If it IS cd25, I have pretty well ZERO chance of pregnancy. I know sperm *can* live 3 days (from bd on cycle day 23) but it's not that likely..

I would change your charting method to the fertility awareness method. Sometimes FF's advanced method gets it wrong.

Patti, I switched to FAM method and it kept my cross hairs the same. So I over rode them and put it for cd 27. I just can't believe it was cd 25. I was JUST getting a +opk, plus it was + the next day too, and my cervix was still high on cd 27 but was low again by cd 29 (I didn't check cd28) Plus the temp didn't shift until then.. and the SEVERE O pain the night of cd 26 and morning of cd 27..

Good luck to you Lisa! I know how frustrating it can be to get your DH on board with your desires....my DH wants to wait until the fall to TTC again...but I wouldn't mind starting to try now.
