Yes this is a semen v. EWCM question.

We were planning on doing the every other day BDing schedule this cycle, but when using the bathroom, I noticed something (down there). It was a blob of something. Clear with white streaks and very stretchy. My last BD was 24 hours before, so I didn't think it could be leftover semen but wasn't sure. So we BDed.... but its VERY early for me to get any kind of CM.... so i dunno. WDYT? I typically don't o until cd 20.

Hmm...I agree that I would BD just in case. I am not 100% sure when it comes to CM (I try though) but from what I heard...semen isn't very stretchy.

It sounds like ewcm to me. If you have plenty of opks I might take one just to see. You never know you could ovulate early this cycle.

Maybe your cycle is not only regulating, but shortening as well? O'ing in the next couple days would put you in the 28 day cycle range.

Thanks ladies. I'm breaking out like i'm ovulating, but i'll have to wait to see my morning temp to see if I actually did or not. I'm away from home, in philly for my sister's bridal shower, so no opks. I had a dark one 2 days ago, but yesterday's was neg. So who knows. Maybe I missed my surge. We Bd'd plenty, so we are covered.

I read somewhere on JM that if you put it in a cup or water, one will swim on top and the other will sink - but sorry, I don't remember which one is which (EWCM vs. semen)

Hopefully someone here can answer.. GL!

Re: putting it in water, apparently cm will sink and semen will float or even dissolve.

It sounds like you've covered your bases anyhow, so good luck!
