I have been told, by so many other justmommies members to chart. But it's totally confusing! What are the steps I need to take, when do I start, any advice or other info. I don't even know what to ask because I have NO CLUE how this works! HELP!

Oh..I know I would have to use FF, and I already have an account so I don't need to set that up.

YAH!!!! Welcome to the board. I am working on starting a charting school for everyone. I should have some more instructions in there very soon. For now, can you read this thread. It is very simple and not too much to take in. Please don't worry if you totally understand everything. You can learn as you go. If you take your temperature regularly we will help you to interpret your chart.

I am going to get another post in charting school this week and I will let all the newbies know when I get it added so you can follow along. For now, I would make sure you have a bbt thermometer and read a little about your cervical mucous. Don't worry about the rest yet. Take it in in baby steps.

Glad to have you over here!

Thx. I read the info. Now my question is...when should I start. I should either be 9dpo or 2dpo. I know there a huge difference. I know you read my post about thinking I O'd on May 31st and June 1st but then wondering if I had a delayed O and actually O'd on June 7th and 8th. Do I start charting on the first day of my next AF?

You can start whenever you want but I think you have probably already ovulated this cycle, unless you have really long cycles. You won't be able to tell if you ovulated, if that already took place but you might be able to tell if AF is on her way if you start charting. A lot of women will have a temp dip a day or so before AF arrives.

I think it might be a good idea to start now so you can get in the habit but I don't think it is a big deal if you wait till AF shows either. You probably only have a little longer to wait on either that BFP or for stinky AF to show.

I usually order mine from early-pregnancy-tests.com. But you can also find them at Walgreens or other drug stores. I can't ever find them where I live though. I live in a rural area and they like having nothing around me so I always just order my thermometers online.

Kody - I got a pink on from Walgreens and it's great. It's only about 9.99 and I know CVS has them as well. Good luck! You'll see that charting helps out a lot.

I got mine on Ebay for $11.99 with 20 Ovulation test ( free shipping )

I started taking mine as soon as I got mine so I would be used to it when I got my cycle. Just make sure you take it the same time and have at least 3 hours of sleep.

Good Luck!

I got a purple one from Rite Aid for $9.99 You really shouldn't have too much trouble finding one if you have a pharmacy chain, Target, Walmart, etc anywhere near you.

I know it seems like a lot at first, but I tell you, once you get the hang of it, it's really easy and you're so happy that you do it, because it gives you LOADS of information.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Charting!!!
