I got my Basal Body Thermometer today. So...since this is the first time I have ever charted, please let me know if the following steps are correct.

1.) I will be using it first thing in the morning before I get up.
2.) Record my temps on FF

Ok...anything else?

How do I put it up so you girls can see it and help me out?

You can also record cervical position, texture, opening size and mucous. And try to take your temperature at the same time each day.

Ok. I have had FF for awhile and have been recording the other stuff, but didn't have the thermometer to record my temp. Thx!

Make sure you temp at the same time every day. To post your chart go to Home Page Set Up and then copy and paste the url. You can also set up a ticker but I will have to figure out how to do that again. I forget.

What cycle day are you on now? Has AF showed or are you still waiting?

And I promise I am going to get more lessons in our charting school.

On the menu on the left hand side of Fertility Friend, go to Sharing. Click on Tickers. Then, customize your ticker. At the end, it will give you the link to your chart on top, with the bbCode underneath. Put that in your siggy and you will have a link in your siggy.

Taking it at the same time may be a little hard since I have three small children who get up at odd times. I will try really hard though.

Right now I am on cycle day 28 (of a 31 day cycle normally) and I'm waiting on AF. Unfortunetly I'm mixed up on when I O'd, so I am either 13dpo or 6dpo. At 13dpo I should expect AF around June 16th (FF is set on this date) and at 6dpo I should expect AF around June 23rd. However, my nipples and breasts are ache like they do before AF, so I think I'm out this month anyway.

I think this will help you then. If you are 13 dpo you should get a bfp or your temp will take a dip soon (usually but some girls don't see a temp dip until AF actually shows). If you see a temp dip that could be a sign that AF is coming if you don't, I would say it means you probably ovulated on the later date.

Also, for temping what I did when I was dealing with the little ones waking me up at night (and Lyndsey was terrible) was I set my alarm for 5 am, temped and then went back to sleep. Otherwise, someone was always waking me up just before I was about to temp. I have seen gals temp at 3 or 4 in the morning. You just need to make sure you get 3 hours of sleep and try to take it around the same time every day.

I sometimes wake up a half hour or so before my normal temp time and my charts still are useful. I think it is good to temp at the same time but sometimes life interferes.

I can set an alarm, that's no problem. I think I have enough information to help me out for the next few days, or weeks. Thanks so much!

if your current plan doesn't work out (temps seem out of wack), you can temp vaginally. It sounds awkward but not as bad as it seems. It works for me when I have to work day/night swing shifts
