I am 4.5 months postpartum, and I know from charting that my body is still trying to work itself out. I've had 3 periods since delivery. I did not o before my first ppaf. My first "cycle" after that I possibly o'd around cd30, and then af showed up 3 days later. (and it's not even for sure I did O that cycle). This last one I o'd on cd27, and af showed up at 8dpo.

I am only on cd 9 this month, and my opk line seems to be getting darker (not positive, but darker, you know what I mean), my cervix went from low to now it's medium, I'm getting more cm, I've seemed to have a higher interest in sex the last couple days .. I am just wondering: is it possible to go from ovulating on cd 27 and later to an actual NORMAL day 14 ish? (okay, don't know WHAT day, but as an example, if O was coming up in the next week or so). What did YOUR bodies do after having a baby? How long did it take to get back to normal?

Thanks!

Lisa

its very possible! especially post-partum when everything is up in the air. However at the same time, your body might 'prepare' to o several times before you actually o.

I agree. I think it is very possible. My chart was really wacky when I first started charting. I was still breastfeeding Lyndsey and even though she was about 2 years old my chart still looked wacky. I think your chart very well may be starting to get more normal.

I really hope so because waiting until almost day THIRTY sucks! lol I am curious to see what happens. I don't even know WHY I'm checking with opks yet, considering I could O late, but what can I say? It's fun.

Yes, Patty, I know what you mean, too, because if you look at my ff chart, you will see my temps were ALLLLLLL over the place. They jumped around like a roller coaster! And that was even with temping properly, so it was frustrating to see that my temps went from extreme highs to extreme lows.. but I suppose it was just my hormones out of whack!

I am also hoping because MAYBE if my O comes sooner, my lp would be longer. I *know* it doesn't mean that, but since that was true this month over the previous month, I need it to be a bit longer and hoping this month is it! lol

I guess we'll see, but it's nice to know it is possible. Oh, and I'm not breastfeeding, I quit when he was 3 weeks old.
