A few questions if you don't mind. How long are your cycles normally? I ask becsuae you are one day ahead of me (cycle wise). And may I ask how long you've been ttc? You say it's been a while.. how long is that? Did it take you a while with your other kids? Are you still bf?

Just wondering.

My cycles are anywhere from 24-32 days long. Since I haven't ovulated yet I am thinking this is going to be a longer cycle for me.

We have been ttc almost 2 years now. We started ttc in August 07. I got pregnant right away in October but it turned out to be ectopic. Long story. I was pregnant with twins so when they did the ultrasound earlier they didn't see the pregnancy in my tube. They only saw the one in the uterus. I miscarried and then my tube ruptured so I only have one tube.

This was my second ectopic. The first one they caught early so I didn't lose my tube. I am starting to think that was the only working tube I had because I can't seem to get pregnant now.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I bet it is hugely stressful, and upsetting. But NOW i understand what you meant the other day when you were excited about left side o pains. Were your tubes scarred previous to the second ectopic? Becasue two is kind of unusual isn't it?

The tube I lost was the same tube my first ectopic was in, I believe. They didn't actually see it on ultrasound. They diagnosed it based on the fact that I was having a little pain on my right side and my hCG levels kept rising. I remember thinking they didn't know what they were talking about but now I realize they were smart and probably saved my tube (for a little while anyway).

And two is pretty uncommon which is why I was totally unprepared, especially since I had just had an ultrasound and could see the sac and everything in my uterus. It was a big shock. I almost didn't go back in for a follow up ultrasound because I just thought I was having a miscarriage.

I am very paranoid about having a third ectopic. I think I will be hounding them every day to do an ultrasound and check my hCG. It was probably the worst experience of my life. I felt like death warmed over seriously. I think if you ask any of the gals who have had a ruptured ectopic they would tell you the same. It is very painful and not fun.

Sorry to go on. Yes, this is why I get excited over left sided o pains!

No, no I (thankfully) have never had one (knock on wood) but I've heard the pain is excruciating and that they can kill you. I remember talking to one lady who was pregnant and she went to the hospital on a monday with EXTREME pain, (she was about 10 weeks) and the hospital wouldn't even do an ultrasound! They said that it was probably stretching ligaments, blah blah blah. Well she was back wednesday when it ruptured. She underwent emergency surgery, ALMOST died (seriously), and lost her tube.. she was told the damage was so extreme she would never be able to have more kids (she had one dd). She was thinking of suing the hospital and the dr who wouldn't even do an ultrasound.. I am not sue-happy like most people, but in this case, I sure hope she went through with it! Had they caught it two days beforehand, that all could have been avoided.

I'm sorry you've gone through this. :*( I hope those left side o pains end up with a healthy little bean!
