Just curious. Are you taking vitamins or herbs? Which ones?

Is there anything particular you are changing in your diet to help?

Other lifestyle changes or activites? Such as acupuncture or any exercise or meditation..?

I know we are all charting but curious if anyone is doing anything "extra" to get a bfp? Have you seen a difference with any of these things, if you are?

I take a daily prenatal vitamin, and 2 omega 3-6-9 pills per day but that is all. I am trying this month to drink more water (just becasue) and increasing fruits/veggie/fish/nuts in my diet, as opposed to actually taking B vitamins, since I am *hoping* to increase my lp to a viable length...

I am taking Folbalin Plus it has B 6 B 12 and Folic acid. My Dr just gave it to me this month because she said I needed them not for TTC but because I have diabetes. I am also on Metformin for the diabetes and that is supposed to help TTC for people with PCOS so I am hoping that it will help me to.

I am taking Vitex 800mg and B6 100mg. But one of those has been causing spotting so I'm going to take away the B6 and see if anything changes. Other than that I'm not really doing anything special.

I'm taking Vitamin B100 complex, it has all B vitamins in it. This Tuesday I'm off to the doctor and I'll ask if I should be taking prenatals. I'm also taking vitamin D. I walk every day for about 1.5 hours and eat healthy-ish. Hopefully it will be enough

Blueeyes, what is folbalin? I've never heard of it.

Lynea, do you have a luteal phase defect? Is that why you are taking vitex and b vit? I thought about doing that this month but decided to give it one more month first and just increase my b vitamins in my diet, as my body is just trying to work itself out from birth. How long have you been taking them? Did the spotting just start when you started taking these?

Arya, holy cow, girl!! 1.5 HOURS a day? Good for you! Do you have a special place that you are walking to, or do you just wander?

Hi Lisa,

hehe I do my walking twice a day so that it's not all at once. I take my dog for an hour long walk early in the morning. He's a Siberian Husky and he has to have lots of exercise. And then in the evening we go again, for about 30 mins. No special place, we just the same route every day. Since DF and I started talking about having a kid I've been doing everything I can to make that possible. Hopefully it will work out for us. I'm very impatient and it would drive me crazy if we were TTCing for months and months.

My Dr gave it to me to supplement for me being a Diabetic and I can't eat a lot of foods that is what my blood was showing I was low on.

*lynea* the spotting is probably from the vitex. I've heard that people have had horrible reactions from it. I suggest stopping that. I've never heard of people spotting from B6.

I take b6 100mg and lenthened my lp by 2 days

I remember the days when I used to walk like that. When we lived in Georgia I walked 2-4 miles a day now I am pathetic and barely do any exercise. I really need to work on that.

I think you are doing great. Prenatals are great for gals that are ttc. I can't see why your doctor wouldn't say yes to them.

I have heard this too. I have heard mixed opinions on it really. I have been scared to try it because I have a pretty normal cycle and am afraid it would make my cycle wackier.

Well the spotting hasn't slowed down any so I'm not going to be taking the vitex anymore, it's going on 2 weeks of bleeding which has never happened. I used to go months without a period then I started to get them but wasn't o'ing, started the vitex and o'ed. I was taking B6 cause I just wasn't sure about my LP cause I hadn't really had one. I really just hope I can o on my own and I hope this month isn't a bust. I go to the doc in Aug so that will give me this month and next to see if I can o on my own if not I will be talking to him about clomid, that's what I had to use with DS. I have been trying to do some more searching about Vitex and spotting but haven't had much luck. Oh and I started taking it the beginning of May. And I have had blood work done with my reg. doc to try and figure out why my cycles were a mess but everything came back normal.

If you ovulated with the Vitex maybe you should keep taking it. I don't know that much about it but if it helps you to ovulate the spotting may just be an annoying side effect. Probably should talk to your doctor about it though. I have like a week of spotting after my AF ends so I can relate.

I'm just so torn on what to do. I need to ovulate but this spotting is just a mess. I might give it a little more time to see if I do o this month and do some more digging around the net for some info and give my doc a call.

I wonder... I know they recommend 800-1000mg of vitex for its benefits but maybe instead of quitting altogether, what about going down to 400mg per day and see if the spotting stops?

Well I called the doctor cause (TMI) I started passing huge clots and bleeding a lot. I never clot so this is worrying me. Anyways stopping the Vitex tomorrow cause I took some today already. My visit is on Thursday morning. I'm just wondering how long the clotting is going to last. Sorry for kinda of taking over this thread but this was where it started. I'm also going to talk to him about clomid.

Okay, that is pretty scary! I hope it stops soon and that all will be resolved by the stopping vitex. GL at your apt on thursday.

I have heard more women report spotting with b6. I had better luck with vitex than clomid. They work the same for me but I got pregnant so many times on vitex.
