Good Morning Ladies!

I don't post here often, but every once in a while I need some expert charting advice and I know this is the perfect place for that

Based on OPKs and an U/S performed by my RE on Wednesday, I ovulated on Friday. But my temps post O are just not lookin' good. Usually after O, my shoot up rather quickly Is this is indication that I can't get pregnant this cycle? I'm so confused!

You never really know. Has anything changed (time, room temp?).

It is still really early. You could have a slow rising temp. My charts have done that before. I know you are used to seeing higher temps but I think your temp is going to go up soon. Try not to get discouraged.

Nope, nothing's different My treatment was a bit different this cycle. I did a combination of Clomid, Bravelle, and Menopur....but that's the only variable...

Thanks Patty I definitely am used to a quick rise, but maybe this cycle will be the shocker and I'll get my

Sometimes temps just take an extra few days to rise in response to the fact that ovulation has occurred.

But it's also possible that you did not ovulate. Did the u/s show a dominant follicle - or did it show the corpus luteum? A dominant follicle is consistent with the positive OPK, because it means your body was trying to ovulate - but unless you had another ultrasound the day after to confirm that the ova was actually released, it's possible that it did not release. In that case, the follicle disintegrates and the process can start all over with new follicles. A positive OPK or seeing a dominant follicle on u/s is not a guarantee that you will ovulate, it's evidence that you body is simply trying to.

If the u/s showed the corpus luteum, that's confirmation of recent ovulation - so give it another day or two. Your temps should rise soon.

Thanks The U/S on Wednesday showed a follicle measuring 18mm.

Thursday I got a positive OPK (digi smiley face) and Friday morning around 9:30 I got another smiley face...

Friday evening around 5 or so....the digi was negative.

ETA: I've never gotten a + OPK and then not O...I know it's possible, but for me personally that's never happened....I'm just holding out hope that I did O and my temps are just slow

Temp went up a little....still don't know what to think! I'm getting a progesterone draw tomorrow, even though I *think* I will be 5DPO instead of 7....oh well

Looking better. Let us know what your blood test results are.

I will definitely keep you posted. I'm praying SO HARD that I get a this cycle so I don't have to do FET next month!!!
