I do. I like having a chart to stare at. I also find opks are not totally reliable for predicting ovulation. Some people ovulate the very next day and others (like me) two or even three days later so I like to have my chart to make sure I time things well.

Well, let's face it, it gives us something to do whilst we wait, wait, wait!

Sometimes, I'm eager to get to sleep so that I can wake in the morning and temp to get a better idea of 'what's happeneing'. Kinda like when I was a kid waiting for christmas - the earlier you go to sleep the quicker it gets here, right?!

And then, of course, we can stare. And obsess. And compare.

That's gotta be WAY more exciting than just waiting on af/bfp each month(which is always an unknown quantity when you can't tell for sure by looking at a chart when you O'd). So, hurrah!! for the humble chart in all it's glory!

I am the same way about wanting to go to sleep just so I can get up and temp! I haven't been doing this for very long but I have stuck with it. It's exciting and nerve-racking at the same time.

Definitely more exciting, even though I'm not even TTCing yet. Soon though. And I go trough the same thing, wanting to go to bed early so I can wake up and take my temp. I'm wondering if that's not why I wake up earlier, because of all anticipation!

I like the excitement of charting too and I almost feel like it is a little crystal ball telling you what is in your near future. It definitely gives you something to do instead of just waiting for BFP or AF each month and lets you feel a little more in control of your fertility.

Yep, it definitely makes it more exciting!

How weird, I'm picturing women all across the country anxious to go to bed just so they can wake up and stick a thermometer in their mouths! (I am sooooo one of them lol )

I have to say that I agree with all that has been said so far.

It gives me something to stare at and obsess about during the awful TWW.
I am also guilty of wanting to go to bed sooner so that tomorrow will come faster so that I can see what's going on. But that's usually only during the TWW.

I only wish there were a way to make the Pre-Ov phase of charting more exciting... cuz I dunno about you ladies... but that's the boring part for me.

Not only boring, Coley, but frustrating, when you're a late ovulator like me! I mean, once you actually o, there is a time limit on how long you wait for either bfp or af, right? But who KNOWS how long it could take until the egg actually drops! Ugh, I hate the waiting. *sticking out my toungue at my ovaries*

I think it's interesting to see what's going on with your body and it gives me somethig to do, but it also gives me something to obsess & get stressed about. I know a couple times I've gotten so frustrated that I've said no more charting or keeping track of things. Just sit back and let nature take it's course. But I always come back to charting.
