Okay, this has got to be TMI by its very nature, but if you don't mind sharing, when do you consider it low/mid/high? I was wondering how others determine this.

*personally* I mark "low" when I barely have to go in. and "high" when I seriously can BARELY reach it, or reach just enough to know it's still in there, but not actually reach the opening but marking "midway" is more confusing to me.. I mark that when I have to uh, "reach" but not AS far as high.. but then I sit there going.. well, is that actually "high" becuase I'm reaching? OR sometimes it's not "right there" but it's not way as far as having to "reach", so then I wonder "is it low or medium?" lol And then I debate about it and am confused.

Soooo... how do you guys mark it?

I'm sorry - I have to sit here laughing at these mental images for a little while before I can answer properly!

Hehe, no need to be sorry - we all need to laugh and you've given me one!

Unfortunately, my answer won't really be of much help as my cp is usually either 'high' (I can just about reach the opening but really have to, uh, push) or very high (I can't reach the opening however much I shift position or push). Ocassionally, I can reach the opening by not really pushing, but it's still kinda... high, like the pad of my middle finger can comfortably reach the opening. But I consider that medium given how it *can* be. Maybe I should call that 'low' though, thinking about it.

No! I'm not gonna think about it anymore! I don't find charting cp very useful for the reasons I've just outlined so I'm not gonna ponder for another moment! Good luck in your endevour though

ooohhhhh I've only been checking it for a few days and right now I can hardly reach it. Not sure if that's because I'm about to ovulate or if it's because it's always high. I'll have to get back at ya! I did enjoy reading this post though

I don't check my cp anymore but I charted it pretty much the same way. The first cycle I put high before I REALLY knew what high felt like. High for me is I can't find it anymore.

Thanks Daniela, I aim to please. I hope it's high becasue you're about to O. Do you use opks at all?

Thanks Patty. I am not relying toooo much on my cp just because it does seem pretty confusing but I keep checking just to get an idea. Although, on the "can't reach it anymore" thing: I gotta tell you, when I went for my pap with my last pregnancy, the dr was looking and looking and looking.. then she asked me if I had had surgery on my cervix? I was like nooooo why??? It was so high she couldn't find it! lol It took two doctors to do this. Let's just say that internal cervix checks during pregnancy are quite uncomfortable for me for this reason!
