I have EWCM that is semi stretchy, very slippery, pretty clear, and very very wet. I tried the "water test" and my CM formed balls in the water, didn't disolve, and some of it sank and some of it floated. My cycle has been pretty crazy since I had my IUD removed the end of March...during my April Cycle, I O'd on May 4th and 5th or CD 18 and 19. During my May Cycle I O'd June 7th and 8th or CD 22 and 23. I am on CD 11 of my June Cycle...but I really have odd CM, and a high and open cervix. I also have some breast pain which I usually have right before my O or my AF. I don't have any cramping like I get when I O though...and I took an OPK at 1pm (I usually take at 11am but didn't have any and had to buy some) and it was very negative. I didn't BD yesterday either...so it's not semen. What do you ladies think? Could I be close to O'ing?

I checked my CM this morning and it is very very very EWCM, wet, stretchy, and slippery! I put a good bit of it in water to make sure it wasn't semen from last night, and it formed a ball and sank. Semen floats and fertile CM sinks, correct? I am also experiencing breast tenderness which only happens before I O, or before AF...and AF is over...so it has to be close to, or is, my O time. I'm waiting to take an OPK still.

Your body could be gearing up for it. You might be seeing your body preparing and that might be why you are getting EWCM. It can come days before you O... I've seen that on many charts.

Sometimes I O about 4 days after my EWCM so make sure you keep BD till you know you have O'ed. Good Luck!

Katie, when you said tri pattern were you referring to a triphasic chart? I am not sure what you mean either. Coley and I responded in this thread

The EWCM is definitely a good sign. I can't remember. How long are your cycles normally? Not sure if you will be able to respond to this.

The EWCM is definitely a good sign. I can't remember. How long are your cycles normally? Not sure if you will be able to respond to this.

My cycles range. My Average is 32 days, my Minimun is 30 days, and my maximum is 34 days. But I had an IUD for 19 months and I often wonder if that has affected my cycle somewhat.
